Thinking about Valentine’s Day!

I remember it like it was yesterday! Having a flower shop in Stillwater, MN was quite the experience in itself. So many people! So many Flowers to deliver! I loved my little shop and my time there. One fun little tidbit - The famous actress, Jessica Lange, had a home in Stillwater. At the time I had my business there, she and Sam Elliot were dating, or together or whatever… Not going to pretend like i Know the inside scoop. But what i do know is that whenever he would come into town he would come in to my flower shop! I had huge buckets of fresh cut flowers to choose from and he would just point to several buckets and say ‘ I’ll take them all” I always played it real cool because I wanted to make sure he felt completely comfortable coming in! Sure was exciting though to have a movie star stop in on a regular basis:)

So fast forward to Flourish! My new but familiar business. I absolutely love flowers and plants. It is pure pleasure to have this shop and arrange beautiful flowers and bring people some joy or comfort or a smile. But the memories of my past experiance’s of holidays, especially Valentine’s Day, quickly reminded me that these Holidays take a lot of effort! Just giving you all an inside view of a flower shop on Valentine’s Day! I worked 3 days straight up to the big day. I think i got about 6 hours of sleep total. The entire shop was lined with bouquets and delivery tags. Delivery drivers were non-stop! Its thrilling and exciting but also exhausting. So being the new kid on the Ashland block, and somewhat of a smaller shop, I am asking for your help! First off, give us a try! I promise you will love what we have to offer. Traditional styles but also out of the ordinary! Unique and beautiful, make it as special as she or he is! Secondly, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - preorder as soon as you can! It will help our shop so very much!
